CHICAGO -- After winning their 27th game of the season, most of the Chicago Bulls headed out to celebrate Joakim Noah's 27th birthday downtown, before scattering to Orlando, Fla., Miami, Turks and Ca... Read full story
couple things to say. 1. boozer has been playing really good the last like 8-10 games. people need to give guys a chance to change. we need boozer to be able to step up in the playoffs in order to win a title so we might as well stop trying to run him out of town. 2. I think it is pretty obvious the only force stopping Dwight Howard from coming to Chicago is our conservative front office. Its a hard choice to make considering how good our core of guys is and i am in no way surprised that our front office isn't trying to make a trade happen. I would definitely trade for D12 if the decision were on me however. Being able to pair the BEST PG and the BEST CENTER IN THE GAME. TOGETHER. can't pass that up. add in the fact that no matter how many games we win, we have to beat Miami and now it looks like the knicks can compete as well. D12 is a PROVEN WINNER. i'll go so far to say that they SHOULD have won the finals against the lakers in '09. 113 Days ago

only problem is boozer and his garbage defense its the only thing that scares me about this team 113 Days ago

the bulls have 11 games before the trade deadline in which they'll be fully healthy for the first time this season. i don't think it's practical to discuss trades until rip can get a few games under his belt to establish chemistry with the starting unit (i'm guessing he'll need maybe 5 or 6 games). if it's not working, against quality opponents for that matter, then i think the front office will do something for sure. but my gut says it will work out with the roster we have at the moment. although i'd like to see JL3 get cut for a big man. 114 Days ago

Cut Carlton and get Fesenko, I like that idea. 114 Days ago

The Bulls are not worried or afraid of any team in the NBA. Even without a healthy RIP, they can compete against the elite teams of Miami and Thunder. They've played the most games, the most road games, and tied for the most wins in the NBA. They've missed a total of 57 games due to injury, and is a half game behind both Miami and Thunder who's core has been pretty much healthy all season (I know Miami has been healthy since the start of February). Only time will tell if RIP can stay healthy in the 2nd half, but they will have a major test the 2nd game after the break against the Spurs in Rodeo town. Not sure if RIP will be healthy enough to play yet, but with 3 games against Miami, 1 against at OK City, and 3 against New York. None of them really are not huge concerns. 114 Days ago

I'm not worried about the regular season. It's the playoffs. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
regular season isnt a drama, bulls cannot survive if either one of rip hamilton or derrick rose are injured come playoff time.....thats a worry... 114 Days ago
chicityfan91
Why people are bailing on Rip Hamilton is beyond me. Yeah he's only played 11 games, but did it occur to anyone that out of those 11 games the starting lineup has been together for 5 of them, with not even a single one of those games coming at home. Rip is averaging 14 points without even being accustomed to the offense yet. Did you know the Bulls are 3rd in offensive efficiency, again with virtually no continuity with Rip? When Rip comes back the scores are going to get uglier. Worried fans, chill. 114 Days ago

Mayo just seems like the better option. 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
That's what I said down below. You'd make that bench even scarier. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
id still keep rip because rip is very valuable to this team, but the bulls need to go after a 2nd shot creating scorer who can help rose in half and full court sets....thats is all i and diabolic are saying 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
and the half court trapping really stuck in my mind. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
wer not bailing on rip, hes a good addition to this team, the bulls just still need a second shot creator who can score when rose cnt 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
I just don't want to see the Heat get the title. They're the only team in our way. 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
So you people are fine with the team right now? I know they're good, but we need that 2 bad. Look at it this way, you hardly have to give up anything for a good scorer and you have Rip coming off the bench. That'll make the best bench in the league even better. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
let them be fine with it dude......im just gonna be shaking my head when this team gets knocked out of the playoffs coz someone got hurt or rose got limited and no one stood up.......its the most frustrating thing when people dnt embrase progress and cnt agree to change for the better for fear of 'ruining' a good thing.....we see the flaw this team has as well as most people..... 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
yer we kno what a player like mayo would do....whether its mayo or whoever rose needs someone to help in a halfcourt game because its completely unfair on him and this team 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
With Mayo in, you'd have a dynamic and dominating back court for years. You just solidified the shooting position, so now you can focus on other things. 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
Yeah Rip is good, but I just don't know if he'll still play the entire playoffs. Hoping i'm wrong though. 114 Days ago
CubsFan2524
You people really need to shut the hell up about how Rip is too old, he can't get the job done. Well go watch the 11 games he played before he got hurt. He and Rose were beast, and once he comes back, they're gonna be beast again. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
screw being a 'solid' team, we want this team to be a championship winning team, and not just one, we want multiple.....for that to happen rose needs help, and this team is still too reliant on rose to create and generate offense for them to survive......if garpax doesnt fix it soon, come playoff time the heat are going to exploit that weakness again and the same result as last year will happen.....thats the last thing anyone other than heat fans want.... 114 Days ago
diabolic0330
I'm an idiot for thinking that we need Mayo? Get real dude. Rip's good, when he actually plays. No one knows if he'll last the entire playoffs. We need that 2guard who can create his own shots and can stay relatively healthy. I hate that the Bulls have to put the entire team on Rose's shoulders and expects him to win a title by himself. 114 Days ago
Tuna-Mac
Prior to this season, what reason do you have to believe Rip wouldn't finish the playoffs? He hasn't been playing because the Bulls don't need to him to. 114 Days ago

i dnt give a crap about my punctuation, this is a blog site not an english class, im not writing a freaking letter.....just think about it cubsfan, ur basing the championship success of this team on the often injured shoulders of a 34 year old guard who cnt create his own shot.....i like rip and hes a good addition to this team, but hes not the answer to the same problem we had last year which is a secondary scorer to rose....... 114 Days ago

You best not call someone a brainless idiot when you spell and punctuate like that. 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
ur an absurd brainless idiot if u think oj mayo sucks....dude is a 24 year old explosive scorer who was second to rose in the ROY honors, he was averaging 18+ppg when starting and that was in his 1st 2 seasons.....u are a fool kit, u talk absolute nonsense 114 Days ago
Stevepaullewis
cubsfan mayo doesnt hav off the court issues, watch and read up on the grizz and in particular oj mayo, u may learn something.....hes exactly what this team needs, not that u idiots would understand that.... 114 Days ago

we were the best team in the league last year according to record, yet we couldnt beat the heat because it was rose versus everyone......rips definiiitteeelllyyy gonna change that.... haha 114 Days ago

And honestly, even if Mayo didn't have his off the court issues, I wouldn't want him just because his name is O.J. 114 Days ago

The bulls are a great regular season team, but they don't have a group of player who turn it up an extra notch in the playoffs. The pacers last year as an 8 seed almost took them out. The bulls are a great team but need a different mix in order to become a championship team that can push themselves to the next level, i think gibson was the only one who did that last season 114 Days ago
blinkh87
well you really didn't watch round 1 because the pacers could have easily won a lot of those games, and in comparison to the regular season the pacers stepped up much more than the bulls. Experience is nice but all the teams except the 76ers have good amounts of team experience in the playoffs and it will be the bulls vs the heat again, in which the heat step up better than the bulls do sadly 114 Days ago
bludmn7
Greenberg you need to take over Friedels job!
The Bulls despite all their injuries are still a solid TEAM. Like SA in the West the Bulls are flying under the radar once again. Big test coming out of the All Star break with games against the Spurs but also we'll see if Rose really takes the loses to Philly and Indy personally and crushes em. 114 Days ago

dallas did it with one star. miami did it with one star. detroit did it with zero stars. unless you count chauncy billups as a star which is debatable. 114 Days ago
ElTouche
A solid TEAM can dominate the regular season, but it's stars that win in the playoffs... Just look at SA. Now that Duncan and Manu are old, Parker is the sole star left on that team (and playing great)... They had the best record in the West last year, but got bounced in the first round and could find the same fate again if they are matched-up against a team with size... Stars create mismatches and overcome them.... Hard to do with just one star, but possible, so I have hopes 114 Days ago
fkhan242
I have a strange feeling this year's playoffs is going to be wacky......a good number of teams could pull off a 1st round upset.
just hope CHI is not on the short end this year.....CHI/MIA in the ECF is far from a lock, in my opinion. 114 Days ago
CubsFan2524
The Sixers, Knicks, Pacers, Magic, Hawks, Celtics.
None of those teams can compete with Miami and Chicago in a 7 game series.
Now the West is a different story. Everybody thinks OKC is a lock to come out of the West, well I'm not convinced. The Spurs, Mavericks, Clippers are playing well. Then you have the Nuggets, Blazers, Lakers, Grizzlies, and Rockets. Right now there are 9 teams competing for 8 playoff spots, and honestly, any of the latter 5 teams I said could pull an upset against anyone of the first 4 I said. 114 Days ago
fkhan242
true, that's why i said "near-lock"
CubsFan2524
I'm just saying, nobody expected the Lakers to self-destruct like that. I'm just saying, nothing is a lock. 114 Days ago
fkhan242
LA self-destructed and got full of themselves.
I don't see OKC following that same path....they have a lot to prove this year in the playoffs. 114 Days ago
CubsFan2524
Just like the Lakers were last season? 114 Days ago
fkhan242
I actually think OKC is a near-lock to make the finals.
LA and DAL took a step back, while OKC gained a step.
SA doesn't seem fit to beat OKC in a 7 game series. 114 Days ago
SWIFTSLICK
I disagree. I don't think there's anything different than last year. The Knicks are slightly better. They'll get taken out in the first round. Lin got exposed last night. The Sixers might make the second round.
Other than that I don't see many challengers: Bucks? Um, No. Indy? Nah, not buying that hype. Orlando? Hahahaha. No. Atlanta? Always fizzles out like a bad fart. No. Boston? Dead in the water already(and it's not even March).
The Bulls will be fine. 114 Days ago
