How about some help for the punters? the NYRA has increased purses 20 plus percent for the owners but has continued to ignore the heart and sole of the game. The increased purses has not yielded more competitive racing as payouts are low ( a $5.30 pick three last week.) and fields are only full when cleap races with hopeless horses are entered. There are too many options and alternives us for players out there today. How can we be expected to continue to play into a 20% take game when I can play blackjack for less than 1 percent.? Help, the game is dying!!!
