A horrible list if anything this Kid is a great player just by making it to la Masia but he is still a kid. Meanwhile Brek Shea is good player and in my opinion could become one of Europes good wingers. But to be compared to Mario Gotze and Neymar who are worth 10 times more and are outstanding players its just insane. This ESPN columnists have no $@%!$@% idea of how stupid this article is.

Put this kid in there with Lederman...just made state ODP and on his way to the regionals. Tried out for the San Jose earthquakes academy against kids two years older and put it to em the other day. Samuel Elwood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MTmU1ePV40

How is Gotze tied with some 10 year old? He should be leading, if not tied with Neymar in this poll.

Nemar is too little to score against the best.... Waiting to be proven wrong. Anybody know what channel will show the Club World Cup Final?

when will espn realize that american soccer players are no where near comparible to european and south american players...no offense to brek shea or ben lederman, there good players but you can't compare them to neymar or mario gotze

This is ridiculous. Gotze isn't next, he's now. One of the best players on the Bundesliga winning team last season and scored against Bayern. Definitely proven himself more than Neymar I would add Hazard too, but he's another player who is more than here. There are loads of players playing better, more consistenly, and at a much higher level than a lot of these players. Hazard? Eriksen? Jovetic? Shaqiri? Cuenca? Romeu? Alba? Jones? Coutinho? I could go on

These names really don't fit in the same category. Brek Shea will be the next big American, but the top young talents worldwide are Neymar, gotze, and Hazard.

How does Brek Shea get more votes than Mario Gotze?

Who came up with this list? There's too many Americans on it first of all. Neymar and Gotze are legit but really..>Brek Shek and Ben Lederman? There are a hundred other players better than these guys: Eden Hazard, Christian Erikson, etc. I agree with zack(below) that Neymar and Gotze have no business on this list. Their both world class players right now. Neymar is up for Player of the Year and Gotze in my opinion is the best young player in the world.

and "Next" list for soccer should start with 3 names. Neymar, Gotze..... and Eden Hazard. All three of them are studs now that are only gonna get better. I hope Hazard goes to Arsenal next transfer window because he will blow up

Rather have Gotze, Hazard will be far overpriced compared to him, not that either will be cheap.

why is a ten year old on the same list as neymar. Neymar is already a world class player and the best on the list

might as well leave all foreign players off this list as american ignorance plagues the voting. gotze is a top 3 player in Germany...neymar hasnt proved anything but being a target.

Neymar and Goetze sharing this list with the others is laughable.
