Trojans, Cavaliers set home-and-home series

LOS ANGELES -- Southern California and Virginia have agreed
to play a home-and-home series in 2008 and 2010 in what will be the
first football games between the schools.

USC athletic director Mike Garrett said Wednesday that the
Trojans and Cavaliers will open the 2008 season Aug. 30 at
Charlottesville, Va., and play again on Sept. 11, 2010 at the Los
Angeles Coliseum.

USC has a 10-6 all-time record against current Atlantic Coast
Conference teams, most recently beating Virginia Tech 24-13 in the
2004 season-opener.
