Malysz wins 3 straight to take overall World Cup lead

OSLO, Norway -- Adam Malysz of Poland won his third straight
ski jump competition Saturday to take the overall World Cup lead.

He led after the first round with a 131-meter jump. He reached
122 meters in the second and collected 272.9 points from the judges
at Holmenkollen.

Andreas Kuttel of Switzerland finished second with 257.6 points
after jumps of 128.5 and 116 meters. Anders Bardal of Norway was
third.

Anders Jacobsen of Norway, who entered with a 60-point lead over
Malysz, finished 13th. He dropped to second overall, 22 points
behind. Four events remain, with a win worth 100 points.

The competition was moved from Lillehammer, site of the 1994
Winter Olympics, because of strong wind. Another large hill contest
will be Sunday at Holmenkollen.
