NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Kimmo Timonen scored two goals and
established a career high for points in a season to lead Nashville
over Dallas and spoil Mike Modano's record-breaking night.
Modano scored two goals to pass Joe Mullen and become the
highest scoring American-born player with 503 career goals.
Tomas Vokoun made 34 saves for his 23rd victory of the season
for Nashville, which snapped a five-game losing streak in ending
the Stars' four-game winning streak. Jordin Tootoo scored the
Predators' other goal.<

EDMONTON, Alberta -- Eric Brewer scored 2:04 into overtime
and St. Louis extended Edmonton's losing streak to 10 games.
Petr Cajanek and Jeff Woywitka also scored for the Blues.
Kyle Brodziak and Shawn Horcoff countered for Edmonton, which
has been outscored 37-9 during its streak, which is one loss short
of the club record. The Oilers' losing streak started one game
before they traded Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders at the NHL
trade deadline.<
