Thomas day-to-day for Razorbacks

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas forward Charles Thomas is
day-to-day after hurting his left ankle less than 90 seconds into
Sunday's Southeastern Conference tournament final.

Thomas had 18 points and 18 rebounds in the semifinals, but
Arkansas was blown out by Florida after he was injured, losing
77-56. Thomas, a 6-foot-8 junior, is averaging 10.7 points and 5.9
rebounds this season.

Arkansas is seeded No. 12 in the East Regional and will play No.
5 Southern California on Friday night in Spokane, Wash., in the
first round of the NCAA tournament.

"We need him to be available," coach Stan Heath said. "He
helps us in these small matchup type of games, but he needs to make
some recovery. We need to see him on the floor by Thursday."
