I am simply amazed at the amount of money being thrown around in free agency in the opening week, but as one NFL executive I spoke to this week asked me, "If you have the cap room and the money why not spend it?"
Good point, but beyond that, you have to place value on certain players and positions of need on your current football team while not upsetting the chemistry that has been established in your locker room. With those things in mind, there are still some intriguing players on the open market who should be at the top of lists as teams continue to throw big-money deals at second-tier players.
