Saint Louis 78, Richmond 68

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Kevin Lisch scored 26 points and Ian Vouyoukas added a season-high 19, sparking Saint Louis to a 78-68 Atlantic 10 Conference victory Wednesday over Richmond.

Tommie Liddell also scored in double figures with 16 for Saint Louis (18-11, 8-7) and led the Billikens with nine rebounds. Lisch, who scored 16 points in the first half, also had eight rebounds and three assists.

Lisch was 11-for-12 from the free-throw line and 5-of-10 from the field in the final home game of the season for Saint Louis.

Dan Geriot paced Richmond (7-21, 3-12) with 16 points. Brian Morris added 13 points and Oumar Sylla had 10 for the Spiders.

Saint Louis used an 11-0 run early in the first half to take a 22-9 lead. The Billikens closed out the half with a 6-0 run to lead 31-21.

The Billikens led by as many as 23 points twice in the second half, including 54-31 with 11:54 to play. Richmond hit some 3-pointers to narrow the margin down the stretch.

Saint Louis took advantage of 23 Richmond fouls and made 93 percent of its free-throw attempts, going 22-of-24 from the free throw line.

The Billikens outrebounded Richmond 35-16.

Richmond shot just six free throws, hitting four, as Saint Louis was called for only nine fouls. The Spiders attempted 30 shots from 3-point range, hitting 10.
