Siena 70, Canisius 48

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Michael Haddix had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Siena to a 70-48 win over Canisius Thursday night.

It was the second time the Saints defeated the Golden Griffins in eight days.

Siena (9-6, 5-1 MAAC) held Canisius (6-10, 1-5) to just 33 percent from the field and 15 percent from the 3-point range. The 48 points were the second fewest allowed this season by Siena.

Edwin Ubiles came off the bench in the second half to score 13 points in 19 minutes, including three emphatic slam dunks.

Haddix had 10 points and six rebounds in the first half as the Saints built a comfortable 37-24 lead at the break.

Kenny Hasbrouck had 10 of his 16 points before intermission, and Tay Fisher made 3-of-5 3-pointers to add to his season-high 13 points.

Darnell Wilson led Canisius with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Canisius held a 37-34 edge in rebounding.
