CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Fernandez Lockett and Todd Babington
combined for 41 points and career highs to lead Austin Peay to a
74-58 win over Tennessee-Martin on Tuesday night.
The Governors (6-6, 3-1 Ohio Valley Conference) briefly trailed
early before taking the lead on a jumper by Kyle Duncan to go ahead
9-7 and lead the rest of the game.
Babington led Austin Peay with 21 points, all from his 7-of-13
shooting from the arc. Lockett had career highs with his 20 points,
six assists and three blocked shots. He also had a game-high 12
rebounds. Drake Reed had 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Skyhawks (3-12, 1-4) were led by McClenon Tolliver, with 15
points, and Cleve Woodfork with 15 points and a team-high seven
rebounds.
Austin Peay jumped to a 36-27 lead at the half and shot 45.2
percent from the field, to the Skyhawks' 36.8.
