Tired Capitals host Coyotes

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Capitals conclude a
difficult stretch when they host the Phoenix Coyotes on Monday.

The Capitals, losers of four straight, are closing a run where
they have played four game in four cities over five days.
Washington's latest came on Saturday in a 4-1 defeat to the New
York Rangers.

Alexander Ovechkin was held scoreless in the game, but his 50
points are fourth-highest in the league while his 25 goals ties
him for the league lead with Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis.

Phoenix, which starts a five-game road trip, has some momentum
built up after completing an impressive home-and-home sweep of
the San Jose Sharks with an 8-0 triumph on Saturday.

Shane Doan led the Coyotes with a goal and four assists while
Jeremy Roenick recorded a hat trick after only scoring one goal
in his last 31 games.

Coyotes netminder Curtis Joseph tied Jacques Plante for fifth on
the NHL career wins list with 437 after making 40 saves for his
47th career shutout.
