Ohio State tunes up for conference play vs. Coppin State

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With its heralded freshmen class, Ohio
State will have one final tuneup before conference play begins.

Coming off a loss against one of the nation's top teams, the
sixth-ranked Buckeyes will host struggling Coppin State on
Saturday.

Ohio State's talented freshmen class, featuring potential NBA
No. 1 pick Greg Oden and his former high school teammate Mike
Conley, Jr., has been solid this season. The Buckeyes only two
losses have come against second-ranked North Carolina and
third-ranked Florida.

Last Saturday, the Gators held Oden in check and Conley had with
13 points, seven assists and four steals in an 86-60 loss.

Coppin State is coming off drubbing at the hands of ninth-ranked
Connecticut. Andy Kennedy scored 12 points - all in the first
half - for the Eagles, who are in the midst of a brutal
four-game road trip.

Coppin State lost at Oklahoma and Alabama prior to its loss to
the Huskies and finish up at Ohio State on Saturday.

The Eagles have lost both of their previous meetings with the
Buckeyes.
