INKSTER, Mich. -- Detroit Lions safety Kenoy Kennedy has
pleaded guilty to drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop in
suburban Detroit.
Kennedy, 29, entered the plea Thursday in District Court and
told Judge Sylvia A. James that it was his first drunken-driving
charge. He faces up to 93 days in jail when sentenced in January,
after Detroit's season ends.
Kennedy declined to comment as he left court.
Kennedy was pulled over for speeding Oct. 6. After he refused a
breath test, a blood test several hours later showed his
blood-alcohol level to be 0.16 percent, twice the level considered
drunk under Michigan law.
Kennedy has continued to play for the Lions since his arrest.
