Southeastern Louisiana 63, Portland 55

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) -- Daryl Cowen had 23 points and three
rebounds to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 63-55 victory over
Portland in the Oregon Rain Invitational tournament Sunday.

Quennell Green added 13 points and Kevyn Green 12 for the Lions,
who went undefeated in three games in the four-team, round-robin
tournament at Gill Coliseum.

Jamie Jones had 22 points and seven rebounds for Portland (0-3).

Southeastern Louisiana's Kevyn Green, the nephew of Oregon State
great A.C. Green, scored the first four points of the second half
as the Lions went ahead 34-21.

A Cowen 3-pointer made it 42-30 before Portland went on an 11-0
run, including seven by center Patrick Sullivan, to get within one
with seven minutes remaining.

The Lions (3-0) went ahead 51-45 with 4:32 left on the second of
two Kevyn Green 3-pointers in a two-minute stretch. Southeastern
Louisiana made its free throws down the stretch to hold on for the
win.

Cowen and Kevyn Green combined for 27 of the Lions' 33
second-half points. Southeastern Louisiana made 11 of 29 3-point
attempts, including six from Cowen. Portland was 3-of-14.

Portland scored 11 straight to go head 15-9 with 10 minutes
remaining in the first half. Southeastern Louisiana answered with a
21-4 run to end the half, and led 30-21 at halftime.

Quennell Green had 13 points at the break, including three
3-pointers.
