Cyclists sanctioned for failing to show for doping test

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Two cyclists have received a one-year period of ineligibility for failing to present themselves for testing after a mountain bike race, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Friday.

Jason Sager of Park City, Utah, and Cale Redpath of Durango, began their ineligibility period July 8, the date of the National Mountain Bike Series No. 4 race in Deer Valley, Utah.

Neither Sager nor Redpath were significantly at fault for the violation, which USADA said justified the one-year sanction for the first-time violation.

Both Sager and Redpath forfeited their results from the race.
