Bartoli, Perry to meet again in Bell Challenge

QUEBEC CITY -- Top-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia easily
advanced to the second round of the Bell Challenge, beating
Venezuela's Milagros Sequera 6-1, 6-3 on Wednesday night.

In another first-round match, fourth-seeded Severine Bremond of
France beat Jill Craybas of the United States 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

Also, second-seeded Marion Bartoli of France beat American Laura
Granville 6-4, 6-3 to set up a quarterfinal match with American
Shenay Perry for the second straight year.

The sixth-seed Perry defeated 2004 finalist Abigail Spears of
the United States 6-1, 7-5, rallying from 3-1 down in the second
set. Bartoli, the winner in Tokyo last month, beat Perry 6-0, 6-4
last year before losing in the semifinals.

Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak and Slovakia's Martina Sucha also
advanced to the quarterfinals. Wozniak beat American Ashley
Harkleroad 6-1, 6-4, and Sucha defeated fifth-seeded Sybille Bammer
of Austria 7-5, 6-4.
