You can find people who say the St. Louis Cardinals are the worst World Champions ever, and you can find people who say they aren't so bad at all. Of course, the answer you get depends on exactly how you ask the question. I fall into the "worst" camp myself, but we'll know more in a year, and anyway, nobody's going to ask for the trophy back, either way.
We can agree, though, can't we, that a team with the 13th-best record and the 16th-best run differential in the majors probably has some work to do this winter?
