Greensboro PGA Tour event gets new sponsor

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has agreed to
a $25 million deal to sponsor the PGA Tour event in Greensboro for
the next four years.

The event has been sponsored by DaimlerChrysler for the past 11
years. This year's event, which begins Thursday, is still called
the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro.

The 2007 Wyndham Championship will held in August, the week
after the PGA Championship, as the final qualifying event for the
tour's new FedEx Cup playoffs. The event will feature a $5 million
purse, and the winner will receive $900,000.

Stephen P. Holmes, Wyndham Worldwide chairman, president and
chief executive officer, said the company looks forward to
extending the event's 65-year history.

"We are honored to sponsor one of the longest-standing events
on the PGA Tour," he said.
