Nannina's victory stands after second doping test comes back negative

LONDON -- Nannina's victory in the Coronation Stakes will
stand after the filly's backup sample showed no trace of doping.

The urine sample of the 3-year-old had originally tested
positive for an unspecified banned substance after her victory at
Royal Ascot on June 23. But the Horseracing Regulatory Authority
announced Wednesday that her B sample came back negative and the
owners can collect their prize money.

"The HRA's Counter Analysis Advisory Committee will now try to
establish why there is a discrepancy in the results of the A and B
samples," HRA spokesman Paul Struther said.
