Eagles sign CB Wynn; release RB Perry

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles signed cornerback
Dexter Wynn and released running back Bruce Perry on Tuesday.

Wynn, who was among the final roster cuts after playing two
seasons for the Eagles, adds depth because cornerback Lito Sheppard
sprained his ankle in the season opener and is unlikely to play
this week.

A sixth-round pick in 2004, Wynn saw action in 22 games as a
reserve defensive back and on special teams. He has averaged 7.6
yards on 40 career punt returns and 17.9 yards on 17 kickoff
returns

Perry, a seventh-round pick in 2004, played three games in three
seasons with Philadelphia. He averaged 19 yards on three kickoff
returns against Houston on Sunday.
