Soccer-Rommedahl leads Denmark to 2-0 victory in Iceland

REYKJAVIK, Sept 6 - Winger Dennis Rommedahl scored
once and set up Jon Dahl Tomasson for another as Denmark
overcame Iceland 2-0 in a Euro 2008 Group F qualifier on
Wednesday.

Rommedahl opened the scoring after six minutes, elegantly
converting a long pass from deep in Danish territory from
Christian Poulsen to foil Icelandic keeper Arni Arason.

The away side doubled their advantage towards the end of the
first half. Midfielder Thomas Gravesen found Rommedahl with
another deep pass and he crossed for Tomasson to net his 40th
international goal.

Denmark's fluid passing game proved too much for the hosts,
who opened their campaign with a 3-0 away victory over Northern
Ireland on Saturday.
