Wild adds ex-defenseman Bombardir to staff

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Former Minnesota Wild defenseman Brad
Bombardir has joined the organization as its director of community
partnerships.

It's a full-time job, announced by the club Wednesday, that
includes planning and organizing player appearances away from the
ice, helping with player contributions to charities, and
representing the Wild at various public events. Bombardir, 34, will
also have a hand in some TV broadcasts throughout the season.

Bombardir, a native of British Columbia and a University of
North Dakota alum who played in 356 career NHL games over eight
seasons with New Jersey, Nashville and Minnesota, played four
seasons with the Wild. He was named captain of the month seven
times, more than any other player in franchise history.
