FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots released rookie wide receiver Erik Davis on Thursday.
The 22-year-old Davis was signed in May as an undrafted free
agent. He caught one pass for 15 yards in New England's two
preseason games.
Davis attended Vanderbilt where he caught 124 passes for 1,767
yards and 14 touchdowns, ranking seventh in school history in both
categories.
