Tuesday's MLS Capsules

HOUSTON -- Eddie Gaven scored on a penalty kick in the 66th
minute to give the Crew the tie after an early goal by the Dynamo.
It was the fourth straight tie for Columbus, and the third straight
for Houston.

The Dynamo took the lead in the fifth minute when forward Brian
Ching scored on a header from 4 yards out on a cross from Brian
Mullan. It was Ching's eighth goal of the season and his first in
three games since returning from the U.S. national team at the
World Cup in Germany.

Ching leads the Dynamo in scoring despite missing a month with
the national team.

Houston (3-6-3) remained in second place in the MLS Western
Conference behind FC Dallas. Columbus (4-6-6), which has not won in
six games, is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
