LONDON, July 4 - Maria Sharapova's winning streak
at Wimbledon was rudely interrupted on Tuesday when a male
streaker jumped on to Centre Court during her quarter-final
against compatriot Elena Dementieva.
The willowy Russian was comfortably leading in the second
set when the streaker suddenly leapt on to the hallowed turf.
To cheers from the crowd, he did a cartwheel before being
escorted off by security officials who wrapped him in a red
blanket.
Sharapova averted her gaze and turned away, determined to
keep her concentration before resuming the rest of her
quarter-final clash.
