Soccer-World-Portugal held 0-0 by Iran at halftime

FRANKFURT, June 17 - Portugal and Iran were all
square at 0-0 in World Cup Group D on Saturday after a first
half which the Portuguese dominated but failed to take their few
clear chances.

Portuguese playmaker Deco, one of the three changes to the
starting lineup, forced a fine save from Iranian goalkeeper
Ebrahim Mirzapour in the 13th minute.

Mirzapour just managed to keep out a shot from right back
Miguel in the 45th minute, deflecting the ball out for a corner
as it almost squeezed under his body.

Iran's midfielder Javad Nekonam got booked, the second time
in the tournament, and will miss the side's last group game
against Angola. Portugal won their opening game 1-0 against
Angola, while Iran lost 3-1 to Mexico.
