Tennis-Gasquet should play French Open despite pain, coach says

PARIS, May 25 - French teenager Richard Gasquet
should be able fir for the French Open despite pulling out of
the Poertschach International tournament with an elbow pain on
Thursday, his coach said.

"I do not think it is serious," Erick Deblicker told Reuters
over the phone.

Qualifier Gasquet, 19, was trailing 6-0 1-1 against Austrian
Juergen Melzer in their second round match when he pulled out.

"It's a little pain in the elbow he probably sustained
because of the number of matches he has played here. I do not
think it casts a doubt on his participation at the French Open,"
Deblicker added.

"We'll see tomorrow with Bernard Montalvan (the French
federation doctor)." The French Open starts on Sunday.

World number 43 Gasquet was forced to end his 2005 season in
October because of an injury to his right elbow.
