Eastern Conference semifinals Series tied, 3-3

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers
may regret not eliminating the Detroit Pistons in Game Six
when the opportunity presented itself.

Escaping with a two-point victory Friday, the Pistons try to
reach the Eastern Conference finals for the fourth consecutive
year when they host the Cavaliers on Sunday in Game Seven.

Although they have been nearly invincible at home this year -
going 37-4 during during the regular season - the Pistons
suffered an 86-84 defeat in Game Five, which gave Cleveland a
chance to clinch the series at home.

However, the Pistons used their experience and veteran
leadership to hold off Cleveland with Friday's 84-82 triumph to
tie the series at three games apiece.

Rasheed Wallace scored 24 points, Richard Hamilton had 17 and
Chauncey Billups and Tayshaun Prince added 15 each for Detroit,
which came up with several critical loose balls down the
stretch.

A victory by Detroit would be the latest in a series of playoff
comebacks in recent years. The Pistons rallied from 3-2
deficits to defeat Miami last year and New Jersey in 2004.

LeBron James, who is averaging 31.1 points in his first career
postseason, scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but
committed seven turnovers for the Cavaliers in Game Six.

The last three games have been decided by two points in a series
that has seen neither team top 97 since the opener.
