Eastern Conference First Round Tied, 2-2

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers
wasted a chance to take control of their Eastern Conference
opening-round series, giving the New Jersey Nets an opportunity
to rebuild their home-court edge.

The third-seeded Nets hope to take a 3-2 series lead when they
host the sixth-seeded Pacers on Tuesday.

After dropping Game One here, the Nets managed to regain
home-court advantage with a 97-88 win in Game Four at Indiana on
Sunday as superstar Vince Carter had 28 points and a playoff
career-best six steals and Nenad Krstic scored seven of his 21
points in the fourth quarter.

All-Star Jermaine O'Neal continued his stellar play with 22
points before fouling out while Austin Croshere scored 15 off
the bench for Indiana, which was outscored in the paint, 42-22.

Sharpshooter Peja Stojakovic missed his second game with an
injured right knee, and Indiana dropped both contests. He will
be a game-time decision.

Through four games, the Nets have a commanding 85-45 edge in
points off turnovers. They have committed just 39 turnovers to
the Pacers' 72.

With a triumph, the Nets could put away the series in Game Six
at Conseco Fieldhouse on Thursday.
