CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Slot back Marcel Love has rejoined the
Oregon State Beavers after sitting out last season because of
academic issues.
Love played for the Beavers in the 2004 season as a junior after
transferring from City College of San Francisco.
He started in all 12 games, with 40 receptions for 523 yards and
four touchdowns.
"Marcel gives us another bona fide receiver," coach Mike Riley
said. "He is a terrific route-runner, and at the end of the 2004
season became one of Derek Anderson's favorite receivers. The
addition of Love will give our offense a tremendous boost, and I
look forward to a big year from him."
In two seasons at CCSF, Love caught 82 passes for 1,231 yards
and 14 touchdowns.
