Los Angeles 5, Chicago 2

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Ervin Santana pitched three hitless innings
for the Los Angeles Angels in a 5-2 victory over the Chicago White
Sox on Wednesday.

In two outings this spring, he has allowed one hit in five
shutout innings.

"Ervin made his pitches and was ahead on the count on just
about everyone he faced," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.

White Sox setup man Dustin Hermanson started the game and
allowed three hits and a run in one inning. Hermanson gave up a
leadoff homer to Chone Figgins.
^Notes:@ The White Sox acquired switch-hitting utility INF Alex
Cintron from Arizona for RHP Jeff Bajenaru. The White Sox appear to
have a glut of infielders as Cintron joins Pablo Ozuna and Rob
Mackowiak as reserves with infield experience. ... Tim Salmon of
the Angels appeared to have his first homer of the spring, but
Mackowiak made a spectacular leaping grab over the left-field wall.
Salmon was credited with a sacrifice fly. ... The White Sox sent
LHP Arnie Munoz outright to Triple-A Charlotte.
