Wyoming 78, San Diego State 45

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Erin Hicks scored 13 points, all in the
first half, as Wyoming routed San Diego State 78-45 Thursday.

It was the fifth win in a row for the Cowgirls (20-6, 10-5
Mountain West Conference), who have also won eight of their last
10.

San Diego State (3-23, 0-16) lost its 16th consecutive game.

Wyoming went on a 9-0 run to start the second half, opening up a
48-20 lead. Five straight points from Megan McGuffey a few minutes
later put Wyoming up 58-26.

McGuffey finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Dominique
Sisk scored 13 points, and Jodi Bolerjack added 11 for the
Cowgirls.

Erin Jackson led SDSU with 11 points.

Wyoming dominated from the tip. With the score tied 4-4, the
Cowgirls went on a 19-3 run, highlighted by two three-pointers from
Hicks and one from Hanna Zavecz.

Wyoming scored 21 points off 14 first-half SDSU turnovers, and
finished the period shooting 55 percent from the field.
