NEW YORK (AP) -- James Williams scored 17 points to lead Long
Island to a 75-60 win over Wagner on Friday night.
Eugene Kotorobai added 11 points for the visiting Blackbirds
(11-15, 8-9 Northeast Conference), who led 41-30 at halftime.
Williams went 5-for-10 from 3-point range and Long Island finished
15-of-30 from behind the arc.
Durell Vinson had 16 points and 12 rebounds and DeEarnest
McLemore scored 14 points for the Seahawks (12-14, 5-12).
Vinson made a jumper to tie it at 11 with 13:57 left in the
first half. Long Island then put together a 14-0 run to take
control. Kotorobai made two of the Blackbirds' four 3-pointers
during the surge.
Long Island connected on 11 of 20 3-pointers in the first half.
Matt Vitale made a 3 to pull Wagner within 41-33 early in the
second half but the Blackbirds responded with a 13-4 spurt.
Williams' layup made it 54-37 with 15:47 remaining.
