HAMPTON, Va. (AP) -- Clayton Morgan had 20 points and 10 rebounds
as Longwood held on for a 69-66 win over Hampton on Monday night.
Maurice Sumter added 19 for the Lancers (9-19), and Brandon
Giles had 13 points.
Hampton (11-13) pulled even three times, but Longwood never
trailed. The Lancers led 37-26 at halftime.
Hampton controlled the boards, outrebounding the Lancers 47-39
and outscoring Longwood 23-8 in second-chance points.
Hampton's bench also outscored Longwood's 23-9, led by 19 points
from Rashad West. Jeff Granger added 16.
The win ended a 38-game road losing streak by the Lancers dating
back to Nov. 25, 2003.
