Hurricanes, Bruins both look to rebound from shutout losses

BOSTON -- The Carolina Hurricanes hope to bounce back
from a disappointing loss and start another winning streak when
they visit the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

The Hurricanes were completely stymied by two-time defending
Vezina Trophy winner Martin Brodeur in their 3-0 loss to the New
Jersey Devils on Friday.

Brodeur made 28 saves in the contest to snap Carolina's
five-game winning streak.

Rookie goaltender Cam Ward stopped 18 shots for the Hurricanes,
who failed to convert on all five of their power plays.

Carolina looks to rebound on Sunday against a Boston squad also
reeling from being shut out, a 2-0 loss to the Montreal
Canadiens on Saturday.

Tim Thomas made 27 saves for the Bruins, who went 0-for-7 on the
power play in the contest.
