JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Terrence Todd had 17 points as
Fairfield rallied for an 81-75 win over St. Peter's on Sunday.
The Stags (5-9, 3-3 in MAAC) trailed for most of the game before
going on an 18-4 run midway through the second half to open up
73-63 lead with just over four minutes left. St. Peter's (7-8, 3-3)
then tried to rally, but Fairfield's defense took charge and held
off the Peacocks.
Herbie Allen and DeWitt Maxwell each had 15 points for
Fairfield, which had five players finish in double figures. St.
Peter's was led by Keydren Clark, who had a game-high 34 points --
including four 3-pointers -- and five assists, while Todd Sowell
added 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
