MONACO, Dec 21 - Monaco are interested in signing
Valencia's Italian striker Marco Di Vaio for the rest of the
season, the Ligue 1 team said on Wednesday.
"We're really interested in having this player in the
squad," team manager Jean-Luc Ettori told reporters before
Monaco's League Cup match against Lille at the Louis-II stadium.
Italy international Di Vaio, 29, joined Primera Liga club
Valencia from Juventus in 2004 and scored 11 goals during his
first season but has mostly been left on the bench since then.
Monaco are fifth in the French top flight, trailing runaway
leaders Olympique Lyon by 13 points after 19 matches.
