CHICAGO -- Royce Parran scored 37 points and Kevin Jones
added 18 to lead Chicago State to a comeback win over
Illinois-Chicago on Sunday. Chicago State trailed 38-28 at half but rallied to shoot 57
percent from the field in the second half. The Cougars hit 10-of-20
3-point attempts. Parran hit 11-of-17 shots from the field and hit five of his
eight 3-point attempts. He added four rebounds and four assists. Forwards Othyus Jeffers and Justin Bowen scored 14 points each
to lead Illinois-Chicago. Jovan Stefanov and Kevin Bond both
chipped in 10 points for the Flames, who shot 60 percent from the
field but made only 2-of-6 3-point attempts. Jeffers grabbed eight rebounds and Bowen had seven boards.
