NEW YORK (Ticker) -- With 10 games in the books, Jaromir Jagr is
on pace to have one of the best seasons of his career.

Jagr looks to maintain his high-scoring output Thursday as the
New York Rangers try to snap a three-game losing streak when
they face the New York Islanders.

A nine-time All-Star and 1999 Hart Trophy winner, Jagr is the
first player to score 10 goals this season and has 15 points.
His career high for goals is 62 in 1995-1996 and his personal
best in points is 149 set the following year.

Jagr assisted on Michael Nylander's goal Saturday as the Rangers
suffered a 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.

Islanders captain Alexei Yashin scored twice on the power play
in the second period Tuesday and extended his points streak to
seven games in a 4-3 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.

Named captain on September 20, Yashin has five goals and six
assists during his streak, recording more than one point in
three of his past four contests.

Despite Jagr's hat trick last Thursday, the Islanders got two
goals from Mark Parrish to defeat the Rangers for the second
consecutive day, 5-4.
