Ronan boys, girls win Class A team titles

MISSOULA -- The Ronan boys and girls won the team titles
Saturday at the state Class A cross country championship held at
the University of Montana golf course.

Lynn Reynolds, a junior from Dillon, won the boys' individual
championship, while Livingston sophomore Heather Haug was the
girls' winner.

The Ronan boys were paced by Michael Fisher's second-place
finish, while teammates Andrew Graham took 12th, Buddy Cheff was
21st and Cameron Barber came in 30th. The Chiefs, with a score of
80, were 19 points better than runner-up Dillon. Hardin was third
at 113.

Ronan's title was the first ever in school history and broke
Browning's four-year run as state champion.

Reynolds won in 15 minutes, 43 seconds, which was just a second
faster than Fisher.

The Ronan girls received a second-place finish from sophomore
Terinee McCready and a fourth from freshman Sadie McMillan en route
to an 80-86 win over defending champion Havre. Lewistown was third.

Haug's time of 18:47.12 edged out McCready's 18:47.80.
