DENVER -- The Arizona Diamondbacks activated left-hander
Shawn Estes from the 60-day disabled list Friday night before his
start against the Colorado Rockies.
Estes had been out since July 6 with a stress fracture in his
right ankle.
"He's ready to go," manager Bob Melvin said.
Estes gave up two runs in 11 innings in two rehabilitation
starts for Triple-A Tucson.
To clear a roster spot for Estes, Arizona recalled infielder
Jerry Gil from Double-A Tennessee and placed him on the 60-day
disabled list.
