No guarantees for Terrell

David Terrell Terrell
• Don't be surprise if David Terrell goes through a procedural release on Friday. Terrell has been in the league long enough to earn a guaranteed contract if he's on the Broncos roster Sunday. But without many other teams bidding, Terrell didn't have the leverage to get any guarantees. So, the Broncos will release him and then re-sign him.. Terrell has already earned his pay for the week so he won't lose any money in the transaction. By doing it this way, Terrell won't have his salary guaranteed for the remainder of the season if the Broncos decide to release him.

• Navy undrafted free agent Kyle Eckel has the talent to be a good fullback in this league. Unfortunately, that might not happen this year. The Dolphins claimed him on waivers and wanted to give him a chance to compete for the starting fullback job. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, the Navy wouldn't grant his transfer from his base in Rhode Island. So, Eckel went on the team's reserve list and is out unless the Navy changes its mind. There was a chance he could have played for the Patriots this year but they released him Saturday. Eckel is scheduled to go out to sea in January.
