Soccer-Antlers go down to 3-0 defeat at Nagoya

TOKYO, July 13 - Ten-man Kashima Antlers slumped
to a 3-0 defeat at Nagoya Grampus Eight on Wednesday and their
lead in the J-League was cut to four points.

Naoshi Nakamura put Nagoya ahead with a penalty after 22
minutes and Kashima's problems mounted when Masashi Motoyama
picked up his second yellow card in the 32nd minute.

Two second-half goals from substitute Yohei Toyoda secured
the points for Nagoya.

Kashima are still top with 35 points from 16 games while
Nagoya climbed to sixth on 24.

Second-placed Gamba Osaka closed the gap behind Kashima to
four points after a comfortable 2-0 win at lowly Oita Trinita.

Champions Yokohama F-Marinos moved up to third on 26 points
after striker Daisuke Sakata snatched a late winner to give them
a 2-1 victory over visiting JEF United Chiba.

Last season's championship runners-up Urawa Reds suffered
their fifth defeat of the 2005 campaign as they were humbled 3-0
by struggling Kashiwa Reysol in Tokyo.

At the foot of the table, FC Tokyo ended an alarming
three-month winless streak with a 1-0 win at Shimizu S-Pulse and
bottom club Vissel Kobe drew 3-3 at Tokyo Verdy.
