ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Greg Maddux on Tuesday will return to the
venue in which some of his greatest accomplishments took place
when the Chicago Cubs face the Atlanta Braves.

Maddux, who won the Cy Young Award in each of his first three
seasons with the Braves from 1993-95, will be making his first
start here since becoming a member of the Cubs last season. Of
Maddux's 312 career wins, 194 came in 11 seasons with Atlanta.

Maddux, who began his career in Chicago and won his first Cy
Young Award as a Cub in 1992, faced Atlanta at Wrigley Field
last season. The righthander picked up the win despite allowing
six runs.

The 39-year-old Maddux (7-5, 4.87 ERA) also allowed six runs in
his most recent outing, a loss against Milwaukee on Thursday.

The Braves will counter with Roman Colon (0-4, 6.30), who will
be making his third start after making 18 relief appearances.
The Dominican righthander gave up four runs and eight hits in a
loss against Florida on Thursday.

Atlanta handed Chicago its fifth straight loss with a 4-0 win in
Monday's series opener.
