Wily Mo Pena expects to complete rehab Monday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Cincinnati Reds outfielder Wily Mo Pena
expects to finish his rehab from a strained left quadriceps muscle
Monday.

Pena, currently with the Triple-A Louisville Bats, said his
recovery since going on the disabled list May 19 is nearly
complete.

"The first game I played I was worried and a little scared to
put weight on my leg, but now it feels 100 percent," Pena said
Saturday.

Louisville manager Rick Sweet said Pena is playing well "but
his timetable is solely up to the Reds."

Pena is batting .385 (5-13) with one home run and four RBIss in
four games with the Bats.

"I expect to be in Cincinnati Tuesday but right now I have to
work on my control at the plate and get ready to play Tuesday,"
Pena said.

Pena had 26 home runs with the Reds in 2004. He was batting .313
with six home runs and 12 RBIss with Cincinnati this year before
going on the disabled list.
