Former Nebraska QB Dailey lands with North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina - Joe Dailey has found a
new school at which to play quarterback.

Just over a month after announcing he would leave Nebraska,
Dailey has signed papers to transfer to North Carolina, the Tar
Heels announced Wednesday.

Per NCAA regulations, Dailey will have to sit out the 2005
season but will be able to play as a junior in 2006.

Dailey completed just 153-of-310 passes with 19 interceptions in
2004 for the Cornhuskers, who went 5-6 - their worst record in
more than 40 years and first under Bill Callahan. He was
demoted to fourth on their depth chart after their spring game
on April 16 and announced he would transfer days later.
