Tennis-Injured Nadal pulls out of Hamburg Masters

HAMBURG, Germany, May 9 - In-form Spaniard Rafael
Nadal pulled out of the Hamburg Masters on Monday due to a
blister on his racket hand.

"I'm not 100 percent and I only risk worsening the injury on
my hand," the 18-year-old told reporters after arriving in
Germany.

Nadal had been scheduled to play Russian Igor Andreev in the
first round on Tuesday.

The Spanish teenager is the form player on the ATP Tour
having won his last three tournaments, accumulating a 17-match
winning streak. He is one of the favourites for the French Open
which starts on May 23.

He sustained a bad blister on his left hand during last
week's Rome Masters, which he won after a marathon five-set
final on Sunday against Argentine Guillermo Coria.
