Soccer-Brondby win Danish Cup to stay on course for double

COPENHAGEN, May 5 - Brondby beat FC Midtjylland
3-2 to win the Danish Cup for the fifth time on Thursday and
stay on course for the domestic double.

Midfielder Ruben Bagger scored the winner in extra time
after Midtjylland's Razak Pimpong was sent off in the 66th
minute for his second yellow card.

Pimpong had given his team a 2-1 lead five minutes earlier
with a header from inside the penalty area.

Midtjylland, who also lost the Cup final to Brondby in 2003,
will play in next season's UEFA Cup if Brondby clinch the
championship.
