LSU women's golf team caddies for Vijay Singh

AVONDALE, La. -- Vijay Singh said it was one of the most fun
rounds of golf he'd ever played.

The LSU women's golf team caddied for Singh in Monday's pro-am
at the Zurich Classic -- carrying his bag and even helping him size
up shots.

"On the ninth hole I told him to hit a 4-iron," said Nicola
Eaton. "It went to the edge of the green."

The golf team, which has caddied in the past, including once for
Jack Nicklaus, struggled with the bag, sometimes needing two people
to carry it. But no one complained.

"Not at all," said Rebecca Kuhn. "He was so great. He gave us
a lot of golf tips."

Only one member of the team could not make it Wednesday, said
Shane Warren, an assistant coach. She had class.

"I had a great time," Singh said. "I think one of the best
times I had on the pro-am. I'm sure my caddy enjoyed it more than
anybody else. They are a great bunch of girls."

The team missed seeing David Toms, an LSU graduate.

"I saw him once, but they were tied up with Singh," Warren
said. "We're with him in spirit though."
